The evidence

• EXHIBIT A: Relocked From Outside — Door locked from the corridor side — that needs a car key. Only the attendant carries one.
• EXHIBIT B: Case in the Linen Locker — The stolen watch case, under towels in the attendant-only linen locker.
• FINANCIAL: $22K Betting Debt — Stroud owes an online sportsbook. Final collection notice dated Feb 27.
• EXHIBIT C: Call Button Log — Roomette 9 rang at 2:14 AM, acknowledged 2:15. Stroud says nobody rang.
• WITNESS 1: Passenger, Roomette 8 — 'A man in the attendant's vest at number nine, flashlight in hand. Quarter past two.'
• LAB: Flashlight Wound — One blow, 1.5-inch round edge — the issued steel flashlight. Stroud's was bleach-wiped.
• EXHIBIT D: Revised Will — Niece Dana Benning is sole heir — including the watch collection.
• WITNESS 2: Lounge Car Bartender — 'Mr. Leary slept in the lounge. The dining car was locked at 11 — no way through.'
