Guide

How to play

Five steps to solve your first case. No tutorial gates — just learn by doing.

Step 1

Pick a mode

Solo if you're flying alone. Duo if you have a partner — same device, different devices, or live with voice. Live Co-Op uses Supabase Realtime; voice runs peer-to-peer.

Step 2

Read the case file

Each case has a dossier, crime scene examination, forensics report, suspect interviews, and communications. In duo mode, each player only sees half of these.

Step 3

Build the board

Drag evidence to suspects. For each connection, write a one-line reasoning and pick a confidence level. Wrong connections cost you points. Hints cost more.

Step 4

Make the accusation

Once you have at least 3 connections, you can name the killer. In duo it's a joint call — both players agree. Your board is scored regardless of whether you're right.

Step 5

See your grade

S, A, B, C, or F based on key connections found, accusation accuracy, speed, and penalties. Compare with today's other detectives on the leaderboard.

Pro detective tips
  • Wrong connections cost 5 points each — make sure before you commit.
  • Hints reveal one missing key connection but cost 10 points.
  • Speed bonus caps at 10 points — under 10 minutes is the sweet spot.
  • In Voice-Only mode you can't see your partner's connections — talk fast.
  • Each case has at least 3 'key connections' that prove the killer. Find them all for a perfect evidence score.
  • Some cases have variants — replaying might give you a different killer.
